About Me
|
I will support you in achieving your goals in a warm, empathetic and encouraging manner.
I enjoy working with clients to help them in their journey to discover their own wisdom and open up to their full potential. I work with adults and couples to help heal and enhance their relationships, including the most important relationship -- the relationship with yourself. My style is to be kind, compassionate and encouraging -- and to challenge you when appropriate -- while using Evidence Based Approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My interest in psychology began as a child, I enjoyed trying to figure out what people were thinking and helping friends through fights and misunderstandings. My parent’s divorce led to an interest in couples therapy which has grown into helping adult children of divorce through pre-marital counseling, supporting couples as they go through the challenges of marriage and helping couples divorce collaboratively. Being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult has broadened my practice to help adults with ADHD and helping them to find organizational strategies to get things done, while reducing the shame associated with living with ADHD. I enjoy swimming, yoga, hiking, reading, poetry, and dabbling in arts and crafts as well as traveling. I have over ten years of experience working in the mental health field in various settings:
